High Water Women is excited to announce the official launch of Financial You – an online resource whose mission is to ingrain the knowledge and good habits taught through the Financial Literacy program, further the conversation around topics related to financial literacy and to drive economic and financial empowerment.
The website has several exciting features – here is a quick overview to ensure you get the most out of the site:
- Our Homepage provides an introduction to our Financial Literacy curriculum, including an overview of the 6 components of the road to financial freedom and several quizzes to test your knowledge base
- The Financial YOU section reviews each of the 6 components of the road to financial freedom in detail: Developing a Financial Plan, Using Financial Services, Establishing Credit, Building Your Assets, Minimizing Your Taxes and Protecting Your Assets. You’ll also find a glossary with all of the defined terms for reference
- Money Chat is a forum that allows our audience to hold open discussions and ask questions about personal finance. Once you sign up for an account on the registration page, you can post topics or questions here as they come up for you. Whether you didn’t get a chance to ask in one of our Financial Literacy courses or you’ve encountered a new challenge or situation, we are happy to provide guidance and moderate the conversation as we all learn from each other’s experiences
- The Blog will be updated with bi-weekly publications that dig deeper into financial literacy topics covered in the High Water Women Financial Literacy curriculum and recapped online in the Financial YOU section. We have 24 blog posts planned for the 2020 calendar year, covering a wide range of topics from Income Planning and How to Build Credit to Real Estate: Renting vs. Buying and Navigating Indebtedness
We hope you find this website to be a useful resource as you progress on your own journey to financial empowerment!
